Eine Diskussion auf der Jurysitzung zeigte es ganz deutlich: So sehr Düsseldorf beim Blick auf Umsätze und in seinem Selbstverständnis als Modemetropole gelten kann. - Ihre durchaus vorhandene Aura strahlt derzeit kaum über das Rheinland hinaus. Die #urbanana-Award-Jury zeichnet Marion Strehlow mit dem Projekt „Behind the Scene" aufgrund - einer lange überfälligen Auseinandersetzung mit der Modestadt Düsseldorf abseits des Big Business aus.

Eigentlich ist ihre neue Kollektion noch streng geheim aber wir dürfen sie als Erste bewundern. Nicht nur an der Stange, sondern auch am Leib der Meisterin selbst. Sie empfängt uns in ihrem Oberbilker Atelier. Beim Betreten des „strehlowischen" Refugiums bleibt unser Blick allerdings als Erstes auf einem übergroßen Ölgemälde der Designerin hängen.
